debugger too slow in leksah- 0.8.0.6 with ghc-6.10.4

Hi Alberto, 

one think I observed is, that output to the Variables Pane in the
Debugger is slow (very slow). Can you try to close the Variables Pane
and see if this speed up the interpreter.

If this is the case, we know what we have to work on, and maybe you can
live without variables pane at the moment.
