interesting that we have so many different takes on this on the list. My
take is that the platform should not incorporate new packages but rather
wait for a package to emerge as the de facto standard and then confirm
this community decision by including it. Hence in this case, without
judging this particular code or API, wait for a few month and then
evaluate how many libraries or programs started to use it before
considering its inclusion.
