Comment:

 Why is this bug marked as invalid ??

 The installer should check whether the required developer tools are
 available, and otherwise tell the user
 to install them. With the current solution (disabling the Install Button
 only), the user neither has an idea why install refuses to start, nor what
 to do to fix it.
