How to build the Haskell Platform?

Bryan I have been maintaining RPMs for GHC and the Haskell Platform for CentOS 5 and 6 at http://www.justhub.org/download.
 
If you need your own build I will be happy to help.

I need to build a Linux spin of the HP for CentOS 5, because the current binaries don't run there (glibc too old). But the haskell-platform package on github is not readily amenable to being understood. How would I get started?
