haskell llvm bing on windows

I posted to the haskell-cafe mail list and got no response perhaps I 
will get a better response here.

Does anyone use the haskell-llvm bindings on windows ? If so did you 
compile llvm from scratch to obtain the libllvm.a ? My issue is I would 
like to use the haskell llvm bindings (which I believe requires libllvm) 
unfortunately the llvm distribution for windows does not contain the 
library, rather just contains executables. I really don't want to embark 
upon compiling llvm on windows.
