 Having just dug through the source code, I think the use of {{{ (Settings
 m) }}} in the definition of {{{ InputT }}} will restrict this to: {{{
 mapInputT :: (m a -> m b) -> InputT m a -> InputT m b }}}, or some
 variation thereof.
