This document lists the steps I go through to deploy/update Hoogle on the server.
The intention is to turn this list into a script in the future.

* Shell into lambda.haskell.org
  * If necessary, run cabal install --prefix=/home/ndm/cabal <package>, to upgrade packages
* Run deploy.bat
  * Use --quick if it fails remotely

* Delete the contents of datadir/databases
* Run ghci locally
  * :opt data default all
  * :testfull
* darcs push
* Shell into lambda.haskell.org
  * If necessary, run cabal install --prefix=/home/ndm/cabal <package>, to upgrade packages
  * cd /home/ndm/hoogle
  * darcs pull
  * cabal clean
  * cabal configure --datadir=/srv/web/haskell.org/hoogle/ --datasubdir=datadir -O2
  * cabal build

The following steps must be done as quickly as possible:

* Upload datadir/resources to /srv/web/haskell.org/hoogle/datadir/resources
* Delete everything in /srv/web/haskell.org/hoogle/datadir/databases
* In the lambda shell
  * cp dist/build/hoogle/hoogle /srv/web/haskell.org/hoogle/index.cgi
* Upload datadir/databases/default.hoo to /srv/web/haskell.org/hoogle/datadir/databases
* Test http://haskell.org/hoogle
* Test the 4 example searches on that page

* Upload datadir/databases/* to /srv/web/haskell.org/hoogle/datadir/databases
